Every group of people meeting with the intention of being together in deep inquiry & listening in service of the well-being of its members, humanity or planet earth is potentially a circle of wisdom and healing.
Many wonderful people all over the world meet in groups to cultivate silence, mindfulness, deep inquiry & listening, as well as new forms of relating. Their development, insights and actions contribute to positive change in the world. Many of those pioneering a new way of relating and accessing so-called collective intelligence are excited about the new capacities that are being developed and the forms of generative knowing & co-creation that become possible.
In 2015 I started inviting people to be part of a series of Circles of Wisdom on a regular base. Each cycle consisted of 5 meetings. We met in person and literally sat in circle. The lockdown in spring 2020 had us move online for the first time. We made the experience that the online version also allowed us to have deep and inspiring conversations. So, as I was scheduling new dates for the second half of 2020, I decided to offer both an online and an offline cycle. This offered people who do not live near Witten, but had heard about the Circles of Wisdom the opportunity to join. People from Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Romenia have since joined. Offering an English-spoken series seemed to be the next logical step.
In a Circle of Wisdom you will meet people who are motivated to look at life from a spiritual perspective. Ideally people come from different traditions, which creates the necessity to do without their usual vocabulary and concepts and really connect with their own understanding and wisdom.
We start with half an hour of silent meditation. And also during the rest of our meeting there is time and space for inner listening and silence. We use a virtual talking stick to slow down the conversation. We keep the principles of collective presencing in mind as they were formulated by Otto Scharmer and Ria Baeck: an open mind, an open heart and an open will. Trust as well as a consciously cultivated heart connection create the foundation for an inspiring and uplifting exchange.
Each meeting is centered around a theme. In this cycle we will deepen our understanding of what wisdom means to us.
As 2021 sees the start of a first cycle of English-spoken circles of wisdom, there will be a short introduction at the beginning of each meeting, in case there are people that join for the first time.
Dates: Tuesday March 23rd, April 20th, May 18th and June 15th 5pm till 8pm CET.
For those who attend all 4 meetings the participation fee is 100,- €. Those who want to decide as they go along, can do so as long as there is a free space (contribution 30,- € per meeting). Payment can be made through paypal, with transferwise or within the EU by bank transfer.
For those with modest financial standing, or who are struggling financially, please write us, so that we can sense into what contribution feels good on both sides.
